Flickr Badge Generator

I tried the Flickr Badge Generator. It creates a little icon that you can put on websites and blogs that connects to your Flickr pictures. I only have 5 photos in Flickr so the images won't change but they will eventually as I add more photos. I like it because if I start a blog for my family and friends (which I have been wanting to do) they can see my most recent photos. This is an HTML badge:

You can also use other people's Flickr photos, so I chose all public photos tagged hockinghills. This is also an HTML badge (I had trouble getting the Flash badge to work) I think I followed the rules about posting pictures correctly because when you click on each picture, it goes to the person's Flickr account, which essentially gives them credit for the photo.

ARRGH! I cannot figure out the spacing issues going on in this post. If anyone can help, let me know.

#6 Flickr Spelling

Diana
This is my favorite Flickr mashup so far, made with the Flickr Sign Generator by Andrea Micheloni. I really like street art so I think that is why I like it so much. I am going to keep checking, but I think the letters change periodically.

Here's another one done with Spell with Flickr

#2-4 Lifelong Learning

#3 Create a Blog in 3 Steps and post about the 7 1/2 Habits of Lifelong Learning

Habit 1: Begin with the end in mind is the easiest for me. I can always envision the end result -- me knowing how to knit, or speaking a foreign language. I'm always dreaming about doing things I don't know how to do or becoming an expert on a new subject.

Habit 5: Create your own learning toolbox is the hardest for me. or it could be
Habit 2: Accept responsibility for your own learning

I do great when learning in a class setting, maybe because I thrive on the structure. But with lifelong learning I think that I usually just do one thing to accomplish a learning goal, such as take one language class or spend one month trying to knit, and then when its still hard to do, give up. So I think I need to work on adding more things to the toolbox to help me learn -- maybe in addition to classes I should add in things such as self-study tutorials, additional books, and mentors. I can see that a multi-faceted approach would accelerate success and keep the confidence going!

#1 Germany Photos

This is serving as a test post for the OU Libraries Learning 2.0 project, and also as an opportunity to ONCE AGAIN bombard everyone I know with my travel photos! They are all collected in Picasa Web Albums. There is an album for each city or destination, and also a Quick Tour for those who just want to look at a few photographs rather than the whole lot. Above: Me (barely) riding a bike in the Spreewald biosphere preserve!
